utilRequest.jpg
This intensive two-day training introduces future campaign leaders, activists, and candidates to the theory and practice behind successful grassroots campaigning.

Campaign workers with all levels of experience and potential candidates for any level of government and at any stage in the process (from curious to ready to take the plunge) are welcome.

Attendees will learn from some of the best progressive campaign operatives in Massachusetts. Sessions will include field organizing, message development, working with the press, and other time-tested tactics for winning campaigns.

The workshop is great training for full-time paid work on campaigns, people wanting to volunteer for campaigns, leaders thinking of running for office, or issue and neighborhood activists who are hoping to enhance their understanding of how to influence the outcome of campaigns.

Getting Ready to Run

utilRequest-4.jpg
This one-day introductory workshop is designed to give prospective candidates the tools they need to prepare for a successful run. It is designed for progressives who are thinking about the possibility of being candidates one day and will be most helpful to you in the months or years before you actually make the decision to jump into a race. (If you are already campaigning, we recommend our Grassroots Campaign Training!) Elected officials and election experts will outline what it would take to run, win, and serve. Attendees will get a picture of what it is like to be a candidate and an elected official. Trainers will outline concrete steps that potential candidates can take right away to prepare to be a successful candidate.

Upcoming Dates:

Thanks for attending our last session on March 4, 2017. Stay tuned for future dates!
