Lawrence School Committee
Mass Alliance was so excited to back Amy Berard, who is running for Lawrence School Committee. A life-long resident of Lawrence, Amy Berard has always been dedicated to providing an excellent education to students from all backgrounds. In her own words, “I seek a seat on the school committee because I want to be a voice for the teachers, students, and parents. I’m an educator and a resident who knows first hand the experiences of Lawrence teachers, parents, and students.”
Graduating from Lawrence High School, she went to Merrimack College and then Kennesaw State University for her Master’s Degree in School Administration. She then moved back to Lawrence where she taught at Middlesex and Northern Essex community college while working as a Literary Specialist in Lowell. She has recently taught as Spark Academy and the Guilmette School.
She has built her career around educating youths, and has accumulated much experience. Amy’s articles regarding her views as an educator have been featured in The Washington Post, Education Week, and National Education Policy Center. She has built a reputation as being an accomplished educator with much to offer the Lawrence community Unfortunately, Amy lost her campaign.
