She is an accomplished attorney, a trustee of a legal advocacy fund and a director of an Asian legal lawyer association. She has helped numerous of people along the way. She served as a community legal service pro-bono attorney, and then opened a law practice to help entrepreneurs realize their small business dreams and guide immigrants through the complex immigration system. She worked as a public policy director for Boston and promoted and brought even more affordable housing for the community of Boston and wants to do the same for Cambridge. Vatsady envisions policies that can make the town a greater place to live, with a stronger commitment to public housing, improving access to early childhood education. connecting the great resources of the city to the community and being a great advocate for the business community and bring opportunity for commerce to flourish in Cambridge. She understands the struggles of starting out in life to make a decent living. She believes that she can bring her personal experience and lawyer advocacy to represent the best interest of her community to better the lives of the people and achieve the American Dream
