Nichole Mossalam

Nichole Mossalam is a mother of three, homeowner, survivor of childhood homelessness, and medical debt owner is running for representative of the 35th Middlesex district to create change in a system that is failing many.

Nichole has most recently served as the Chair of Malden’s Disability Commission, a Leader in the Medford Malden Interfaith Associations, and an Advisor of the Human Rights and Fair Housing Commission. She has worked in these positions to increase city-wide parking and playground accessibility study for disabled individuals and addressed parking and placard accessibility, to organize an annual Fastathon to pay for the housing of displaced families and student lunch debt in public schools, and has contributed to strategies to make it easier to rent or buy a home.

If elected, Nichole will advocate for increased accessibility for disabled community members, a quality and debt-free public education from pre-k through college, fair housing for all, and more measures to protect the environment. “I’m running for State Representative because our state legislature has failed to adequately address the challenges that so many people in our communities are facing,” Mossalam said. “On a wide array of issues, we have seen too many legislators follow the Speaker’s agenda. We need independent leaders who will put the concerns of our families first.”
