Dante Comparetto was elected to the Worcester School Committee in 2017 with the support of Mass Alliance. After overcoming homelessness and drug addiction, Dante became a successful business owner and a leader in the Massachusetts Education Justice Alliance (MEJA). His story of recovery and redemption as well as his advocacy work resonated with the people of Worcester and allowed him to build a strong base of support that ultimately delivered him victory. Dante has continued to use his position as an elected official to advocate for positive change, notably working to combat inequitable school discipline practices and pushing for comprehensive sex education in Worcester.
