Gloria was born and raised in Cambridge, MA. She earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Sociology from UMASS Boston and a graduate certificate from Boston University. She started out in the healthcare industry as a bilingual case manager and then became the Executive Director of Family Caregivers in Boston overseeing registered nurses and social workers that deliver home care services to the elderly and people with disabilities across the state. Gloria is currently the Director of Volunteer Services, Community Relations, Spiritual Care and the Telecommunications Departments at UMASS Memorial Health Care in Marlborough.
As a director in healthcare with vast experience working with families, seniors, and people with disabilities, Gloria Pascual knows how systems and policies can fall short when it comes to serving the public interest. For years she has stepped up to advocate for equity and social justice for all.
Gloria sees Framingham’s diversity as an underutilized asset. As a City Councilor she plans to inspire and recruit more people to serve on boards and commissions. With her knowledge and first-hand experience working with many segments of the population, she will bring a broader perspective to the Council. She has expertise in business, education, and healthcare, as well as with students, families, seniors and people with disabilities. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Gloria will fill a void in the City Council which will benefit many members of the community who have not felt well represented.
