Mass Alliance congratulates Jack Lewis for his win in the open seat for Massachusetts House of Representatives from Framingham and Ashland.
Jack completed degrees in political science and international relations in college. Fueled by a passion for social justice, Jack entered seminary after graduation to become an ordained minister. Jack then accepted a position at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills. In this capacity, he oversaw the congregation’s social and economic justice programs, led youth service-learning trips, and regularly preached on social and economic justice. In 2011 Jack helped found OUT MetroWest. This program, headquartered in Framingham, serves lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth from across the MetroWest area. In his capacity as Executive Director, Jack has served over 700 area students and their families by offering supportive services, leadership development, and youth empowerment. These programs have enhanced and helped protect the lives of countless area teens.
Jack Lewis has worked tirelessly for others and dedicated his life to progressive values. He will be a great representative for the people of the 7th Middlesex District. Year Endorsed: 2016/p>
