Mass Alliance is proud to endorse Jenny Graham as a rising star. Jenny Graham is a long time Medford resident, parent of two Medford Public School students, and an owner of a Medford-based small business. She is an operations improvement professional who drives excellence and manages change. Jenny is the co-chair of the Brooks PTO and has served as chair of the fundraising and library committees.
In addition to her work at her children’s school, Jenny has been a leader in advocating for all of Medford’s schools. She is a frequent attendee and contributor at Medford School Committee meetings. Jenny was selected by the Mayor to serve on the Superintendent Search Committee in 2018 which ultimately recommended finalists to the School Committee. In that role, Jenny authored key materials that were utilized to attract a qualified field of candidates for the Superintendent position. She has also developed and authored other district-wide policies. One of Jenny’s proudest accomplishments is working as a co-founder of the re-imagined Medford Citywide Elementary School Alliance, which raised, with the efforts of many parent volunteers district-wide, nearly $28,000 in total in its first year, which translated to each elementary school in Medford benefitting from $7,000 of additional income for enrichment and other activities. Jenny was the critical driver in opening a collaborative fundraising discussion across our four elementary schools and worked to implement an approach that will help the four elementary schools work together for years to come. Jenny’s vision and collaborative efforts have paved the way for the continued success of the group as it moves forward in the 2019-2020 school year and beyond, Jenny has shown through her many hundreds of hours of volunteer work for the schools that she is a thoughtful problem-solver, collaborative community member, and effective speaker and leader. Jenny has the ability to take on a concern, think it through, discuss with others, advocate for a solution that works for all, and get the job done.
Jenny’s business skill set and personal approach makes her a perfect fit for service on the School Committee. Jenny has tremendous focus, a keen ability to manage many things at the same time, and a friendly but direct approach to getting things done. Her heart and mind are committed to working with other Medford parents and School Committee members to ensure that our schools offer the best educational experience for all children in the district.?
Jenny and her husband Scott live in West Medford with their two children, Lila (10) and Lucas (8), who attend the Brooks Elementary school.
