Michael Armano

Mike Armano, a Democrat, is running to represent the 2nd Essex and Middlesex districts, which include the towns of Dracut, Andover, Tewksbury and Lawrence. As a proud member of the Lawrence Firefighters Local 146, Mike is a civic minded and dedicated public servant. A lifelong and proud son of the Merrimack Valley, Mike graduated from Central Catholic in Lawrence, UMASS Lowell, and Massachusetts School of law in Andover. Immediately after law school, Mike successfully passed the bar in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. Upon starting his career as a firefighter, Mike graduated from the Mass Fire Academy while earning his EMT license and pursuing his master’s degree in Public Administration. Mike currently serves the community as the Lieutenant of Fire Prevention in Lawrence, specializing in code enforcement, arson investigation, and public education. Throughout his professional life, Mike has served in multiple, diverse capacities such as: being a substitute teacher in the Boston Public School district, clerking for the Superior Court, his employment in corporate security while part of SEIU, his real estate practice, and his union participation as Local 146’s delegate to the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts.

Armano is running as “somebody who is dedicated to public service”, and for the working class community. Armano’s main issue areas are affordable housing, home ownership, public education, mental health, addiction and homelessness. If elected, Armano has vowed to be “accountable, reachable and approachable”.
