Orlando Ramos, a carpenter by training and proud former union steward, highlighted the importance of community support with his campaign for Springfield City Council. While on the Council, Ramos was a champion for policies that have led to heightened police accountability, fair labor practices, employment growth, an increased focus on caring for and protecting senior citizens, and safer neighborhoods and housing equity in Springfield. After his time on City Council, Ramos went on to win the 9th Hampden District seat in the House of Representatives as well.
