In 2019 Mass Alliance started the Progressive Municipal Leaders Network(PMLN). This project is a network of elected local leaders — mayors, city councilors, select board members, school committee members, and others — brought together by Mass Alliance with the goal of working together to build progressive power and advance an agenda of justice and equity in municipalities and at the state level.
Mass Alliance brings together PMLN members through monthly virtual lunchtime meetings, featuring guest speakers from local progressive organizations and conversations on topics related to progressive governance. The network has primarily met for monthly Zoom presentations with policy subject experts. Going forward, we envision a robust, adaptive, and impactful network, and we are seeking funding to achieve this aim.
