This past weekend, participants from throughout the state came together at Neighbor to Neighbor’s office in Springfield for our second Grassroots Campaign Training of the year. They were trained by some of the top local political strategists Calvin Feliciano of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, Italo Fini (FINI LLC), and Ryan McCollum (RMC Strategies).
We were joined by Mass Alliance members Sam Lambert of the Sierra Club Massachusetts Chapter and Tanya Neslusan from MassEquality to talk about why their organizations endorse candidates in local elections and what they look for in candidates.
On Sunday we had the honor of having Springfield’s own elected officials State Senator Adam Gomez, State Representative Orlando Ramos, City Councilor José Delgado, along with Greenfield City Councilor Katherine Golub and Agawam City Councilor Tom Hendrickson share their experiences running for local office in Western Massachusetts.
Through our leadership development and educational programming, Mass Alliance is building the bench of leaders that will work with our organizations through local government to pass progressive policies that will improve the lives of all residents of Massachusetts.
If you’re considering a run for local office or working on a candidate’s campaign, learn from the leading local campaign strategist, advocates, and elected officials at a very affordable cost. Our last training of the year is June 7th-8th in Lowell. Apply at www.tinyurl.com/gct25ma
by May 23rd. Space is limited.
