Keavin Duffy Jr. Mass Alliance is proud to have endorsed Keavin Duffy in his run for the Massachusetts House of Representatives in the 3rd district of Bristol. Keavin is from Taunton and hopes to one day raise a family here. He is running to strengthen and empower his community to be a place that residents can feel proud of, and succeed in. Duffy ran as an unenrolled independent candidate so that he could represent his district without being held to particular platforms of state and national party politics. Duffy’s opponent, Shauna O’Connell, is one of the most conservative members of the House and is a vocal opponent of food programs on which many families rely for survival. She is also a staunch opponent of immigration, contrary to Massachusetts’ long history of welcoming immigrants. Keavin Duffy wants to tackle the issues that are facing his community such as mental health and substance abuse, ensuring a fair tax code for individuals and businesses, producing jobs and economic growth, and making sure that schools have the resources necessary to provide the best education for every student.
