Mass Alliance is looking for highly motivated interns who are eager to learn more about legislative campaigns and take an active role in progressive Massachusetts politics. Interns will become familiar with the structure of local politics and will have the opportunity to meet leaders behind some of the best campaigns in Massachusetts politics. Additionally, interns will learn about many progressive public policy areas through contact with the member organizations. Job responsibilities include direct candidate support, candidate recruitment, event planning, logistical organizing, attending meetings, events, and trainings, political research, district analysis, candidate interviews, field work directly on campaigns, possible work at the state House, and various office duties. In particular, interns for the Fall of 2020 will be assisting with direct support to our endorsed candidates across the state by phone-banking, editing and distributing literature, and assisting with social media. Fall 2020 interns will also be helping to plan our annual fundraiser virtually after the election. Internships are available for a variety of schedules and are flexible. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, all internships will be happening remote until further notice. A commitment to progressive politics is the only firm requirement. Campaign, political, or other organizing experience appreciated, but not required. Please submit resumes through Handshake or to [email protected]. A small stipend will be provided.
